Upcoming missions (suggest missions here)

So we’ve got a few locations in mind for the next couple of missions. Let us know what you think, and post your own suggestions here.
- Toronto Zombie Walk (Sunday, October 19th)
- Canada Wonderland’s Haunt (Any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in October or November, it seems). I’ve gotten some awesome shots at the Haunt (formerly FearFest) before.
- Don Valley Brickworks

Mission Alert: Light Paining II this Saturday at 8PM

The invites have been sent out on Facebook! Contact me if you’re not in the group but want to get invited. This week we will be trying out some light painting again in Magwood Park near Humbercrest and St. Marks, starting at 8ish. See this post for examples of what we’re going for. For this mission, we’re recommending you bring:
- Camera (these are useful for taking photos)
- Tripod, if you have one
- Cable release/remote control for your camera, if you have one
- A wide-angle lens, since it’s tough to know what’s in frame in the dark
- Flashlights! LEDs! Lasers! We need as many kinds of coloured lights as possible.
- Water and snacks, since we’ll be out for 4-5 hours.
- Patience and a good attitude

What’s a photomission? Get some photographers together, pick a location, and get some kick-ass shots by learning and riffing off each other. All skill levels are welcome, so don’t be afraid.
Matt Watson and I will be trying out some light painting tonight in Magwood Park near Humbercrest and St. Marks, starting at oh, maybe 9ish. So get out your camera, grab your tripod if you’ve got one, and head down to these co-ordinates tonight:
That’s the playground near the entrance to the Magwood Park off of Pasadena Gardens. This is were we’ll be starting, but we may move, so give me (Jeff) a call at 416-825-5825 and I can email you updated co-ordinates (or, like, tell you where we are, but that’s so pre-iPhone).
Also, bring some flashlights and multi-coloured LEDs and laser pointers… we’ll need as many as we can get.
